INTRODUCTION:
A door hinge is a mechanical bearing which connects two objects, allowing it to move in a limiting rotation or limited angle rotation.
PARTS OF HINGES:
Hinge has three main components:
- Pin
- Knuckle
- Leaves (singular=leaf)
PIN:
A rod like pin which holds two leaves together, passing through knuckles.
KNUCKLES:
Knuckles are hollow circular portions, through which both leaves typically alternate and interlock with each other with a rod-like pin and look like a joint.
LEAVES:
